Hideaway Restaurant

LAKA-LÉKÉ means “hideaway” in Balinese, is the sister restaurant of Café Wayan and Bakery on Monkey Forest Road, Ubud.

The name “LAKA-LÉKÉ” is appropriate since the restaurant is literally “hidden away” between two well know places in UBUD, the famous Monkey Forest and the unique wood-carving village of Nyuh Kuning.

Since it first opened, Laka-Leke has become known for its attractive, spacious design, with separate, tree-shaded pavilions offering beatiful views of gardens, lily ponds and rice fields. Fine food, friendly service, and a aromantic atmosphere in the midst of Balinese culture all serve t make Laka Leke a place to visit and experience.

The Best Crispy Duck
Reviewed 6 March 2014

The restaurant design is quite Ubud style, with scattered gazebo with paddy's field in between.
What I ordered was crispy duck, as this may be the signature dish. It turned out to be very good, or the best, crispy duck I had. Very very recommended.

For chilli lovers, you may ask for special chilli, it is hotter than the one served in dish.

Service by waiters were very good, too. Visited February 2014
